Beautiful Oblivion (Maddox Brothers #1) by Jamie McGuire (ARC Review) (Blog Tour)

***WARNING!!! THIS BOOK MAY CONTAIN SUBJECT MATTERS NOT SUITABLE FOR ANYONE UNDER THE AGE OF 17!!!!***

Today I'm so excited to be a part of the Beautiful Oblivion Blog Tour for Jamie McGuire's latest release...which gives us more insight on those sexy Maddox brothers!! ;)

Description of Beautiful Oblivion by Jamie McGuire, the first book in the Maddox Brothers Series:

Fiercely independent Camille "Cami" Camlin gladly moved on from her childhood before it was over.  She has held down a job since before she could drive, and moved into her own apartment after her freshman year of college.  Now tending bar at The Red Door, Cami doesn't have time for much else besides work and classes, until a trip to see her boyfriend is cancelled, leaving her with a first weekend off in almost a year.

Trenton Maddox was the king of Eastern State University, dating co-eds before he even graduated high school.  His friends wanted to be him, and women wanted to tame him, but after a tragic accident turned his world upside down, Trenton leaves campus to come to grips with the crushing guilt.

Eighteen months later, Trenton is living at home with his widower father, and works full-time at a local tattoo parlor to help with the bills.  Just when he thinks his life is returning to normal, he notices Cami sitting alone at a table at The Red.

As the baby sister of four rowdy brothers, Cami believes she'll have no problem keeping her new friendship with Trenton Maddox strictly platonic.  But when a Maddox boy falls in love, he loves forever - even if she is the only reason their already broken family could fall apart.

In the first installment of the Maddox Brothers books, readers can experience the rush of reading Beautiful Disaster for the first time, all over again.

My Thoughts:

Let me start by saying I first fell for these Maddox boys back in 2011 when Beautiful Disaster was still an independently published novel!! I devoured that book in a few short hours, and just wanted it to go on and on!  Since, then I've read the rest of the first series, Walking Disaster and Beautiful Wedding, and just absorbed those as well!

These are books that are so extremely hard to put down, especially if you love New Adult romance novels like I do!

Beautiful Oblivion (the first book in the Maddox Brothers Series) is the perfect book to continue us fan's obsession of these incredibly sexy brothers!!

The story was so cute! Just like in Beautiful Disaster, I loved the evolution of the relationship between the main characters, in this case, Cami and Trent's.  I also loved getting to know another Maddox brother!!

When Jamie made the announcement a few months ago, that we would be hearing more from the brother's, I was one of those fans who had a freak out moment!  I love it when authors bring back fan's favorite characters!!!

This book does contain a HUGE twist at the end, which to be honest sort of confused me.  It was a rather sudden ending, which I'm guessing will be continued in the following books, which left me with quite a few unanswered questions!

And then one other small thing, that I'm not sure if it bothered me because I found it annoying, or because it reminded me of a character flaw in myself...but Cami in one sense likes to act like a strong chick, yet in another, she sometimes caves way too easily when people tell her to do things.

Now like I said, I think maybe why this bothered me, was because it kind of hit home for me.  I tend to allow people sometimes to push me over.  And it's difficult!  Cami, like me, with somethings did hold her ground which was good! :)

Overall rating:

It was good! I'd definitely 100% recommend to my fellow Maddox brothers' fans!  This is a must read for you all!!

It is available on July 1st, one day before my 23rd birthday!!!!!! Wooo-hooo!!!
