Meg-A Readers Recap Week 4! WITH GIVEAWAY!!! (US Shipping Only!)

Hey Everyone!

So unfortunately this year Meg-A Readers is not going at all like I had hoped.  I'm so sorry, I feel like such a flake, but this is a really tough time right now.  You see, I am transferring in the fall to University.  It's taken SIX years of Community college, because I work two jobs, and to be honest due to personal reasons it's taken me a bit longer than most.  Anyway, I've finally made it one step closer to achieving my dream of becoming an elementary school teacher!  I got my Associated of Science this semester in Liberal Arts, and was supposed to transfer to a University in my area.  However, I've been having some serious anxiety problems when it comes to commuting yet again for another THREE and a HALF years (that is my bachelors and teaching credentials), because I will end up having to give up my school job...the one job I actually need to keep my foot in the door.  But here's the problem...I can't commute three to four times a week, at 45 minutes each way, on the one paycheck I would have left, and my parents are already doing enough by trying everything they can to pay for the majority of my education!

So I recently found a possible solution...online school to get my bachelors, and then after that go to the University I was supposed to transfer to, for my Teaching Credentials.  But here's the problem, well really a few problems...it's a little more money and all the schools I've talked are being extremely difficult in accepting my credits, even though I KNOW they are legit!  I went to the #1 community college in the UNITED STATES.

Anyway, to make a long story short, I am in a rut right now.  I am a little stressed out, and while I have the most amazing family and boyfriend who are always there for me, it's a lot of pressure getting done with a goal this big.  So reading has not been on the top of my list, especially with work on top of it.

However, my school job is getting out for summer next Wednesday, so hopefully after that, I will be able to focus much more on what I will be doing, when it comes to school, in the next year, and hopefully getting back on it, and enjoy my summer.  It's definitely much needed time off!

So instead of a review this week, I will be doing another giveaway for your guys!

  1. So sorry to hear about your university problems, hope it all works out for you, the children DESERVE a teacher who is as passionate as you seem to be about teaching.
